I probably can’t explain this well bec it’s my niece, 11yo. They’ve been trying cpap but finding it difficult because she will fight them at periods in the night. I’m thinking it may be when she is at a particular sleep stage or transition. Anyone experience this as a kid or with their own kids?
Three months in a row I have struggled to get my Nuvigil 200mg (60 count) rx. CVS always has it on backorder, and now my new pharmacy took 5 days to get my meds. I work full time, so I make a lot of mistakes when I am unmedicated.
Anyone with CVS caremark? What is a less stressful way to get your meds on time?
Idk if it's my state... PA only allows 2 days before the rx is out, and no auto refills. I can't keep going through this, and I know I'm not alone. :(
Almost every time I request a refill, no matter what my Doctor prescribes, I seem to have problems!! That in itself is exhausting!
By definition, cataplexy is "a medical condition in which strong emotion or laughter causes a person to suffer sudden physical collapse though remaining conscious" but as we all know, there's so much more to it. So what is cataplexy for you?
There's two kinds of narcolepsy, one with cataplexy and one without. But I've seen some people say that they had something different than the textbook definition of cataplexy

I personally can remain conscious with armodafinil, but it’s waking up that is impossible for me and constantly threatened my employment before I started living with my parents and working from home. I take armodafinil around the first alarm (I usually don’t remember taking it - I know I’ve taken it because the pill laid out is gone.) I have to rotate through different alarms because I’ll habituate: shock watch that shocks me until I do jumping jacks, sonic boom alarm that shakes the bed and… read more

I am currently student teaching in an elementary special education classroom. I was diagnosed with severe Narcolepsy and Cataplexy in 2016. I have a student in the class who based on my experience (not officially diagnosed) who has Narcolepsy.
Here's a little background information.. She is falling asleep in class and can be asleep in seconds and not wake up when you try to wake her up. When we bring this up to mom she claims that she wakes up in the middle of the night, steals somebody's… read more

Has anyone been able to get on Wakix? My doctor has spent hours and hours per patient attempting to get them on Wakix with no success! What is the deal?
There’s now a non generic Xyrem, fyi. I pay only $30/month copay for it. I just started it two days ago. I have high hopes for being able to drive more than 20 minutes once I’m up to full dose.
