I can’t take provigil as it causes my blood pressure to go up real high! Haven’t tried anything else yet!

I have Type 1 Narcolepsy (with Cataplexy) and my Nuvigil (250mg) doesn’t wear off in the afternoon but sometimes I do find the quite opposite.. it seems like the medicine kicks in double time around the evening (5-6pm).

Maybe discuss with your Dr. There's probably something better suited for you to take that would be more effective at providing wakefulness. I couldn't take the Provigil or Nuvigil. So my doctor put me on Dextroamphetamine. It's worked for me.

I quit coming here before because it kept denying perfectly acceptable posts but kept telling me to consider re-wording it… I don’t come here to play mind games and so now I wasted my time… I cant explain a factual medical term pertaining to the related question, so I will go eat breakfast and get on with my life. 😂😖

I’ve been taking 200 mg for several years. Even with 30 mg Ritalin, I have a hard time staying awake after lunch. I take a 2nd dose of Ritalin just before lunch. Then I can’t stay awake after work often falling asleep before or after dinner
