Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm newly diagnosed type 2, and have started on 200mg of Nuvigil.
It works in the morning for me, but by the time early PM rolls around, I'm fighting sleep attacks.
I tried cutting it in half, and taking the 2nd half at noon, but I'm still absolutely crawling during my shift at work.
Has anyone had that problem? If I may ask, if you did, what are you on now?
Thanks in advance!!!!
I take one provigil 200 in the morning and another 200 at 11 a.m.. My neurologist prescribed it that way when I was getting sleepy in the afternoon. It helps and I can still sleep at night.
I have Type 1 Narcolepsy (with Cataplexy) and my Nuvigil (250mg) doesn’t wear off in the afternoon but sometimes I do find the quite opposite.. it seems like the medicine kicks in double time around the evening (5-6pm).
Maybe discuss with your Dr. There's probably something better suited for you to take that would be more effective at providing wakefulness. I couldn't take the Provigil or Nuvigil. So my doctor put me on Dextroamphetamine. It's worked for me.
I can’t take provigil as it causes my blood pressure to go up real high! Haven’t tried anything else yet!
