I didn’t know they could be due to narcolepsy-I assumed it was just part of aging. But I went to an optometrist who told me it can be from your eye muscles working so hard to keep your eyes open that they fatigue! Makes total sense. I received a trial of ‘Upneeq’ - liquid eye drops that lift your eye lid. This was amazing. My eye lid stopped drooping for about 8 hours and my headaches were gone! I did not realize that my headaches were due to my eyes straining so much to stay open and to focus on my screen at work. Sadly, this eye drop is only manufactured and sold at one place and ofc it doesn’t take insurance. $150.00 for 30 day drops :(

Pretty sure I have them BIG TIME when I’m sleepy… To me it feels like a precursor to cataplexy event.

I had droopy eyelids 40 years ago. This lasted months or longer. Since there several possible causes including disease, I saw an ophthalmologist. I wanted treatment for the cause not treatment for the symptoms.
