How Often Should A Person With Narcolepsy W Cataplexy Have A Sleep Test?
A MyNarcolepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I was diagnosed in 2015 which was my first and only test; should a patient be tested again after so many years

I've never had a sleep test, was diagnosed on symptoms alone, but don't recommend that. I would think 5 - 10 years, or whatever your insurance allows

God question! I'm currently awaiting an appointment with a new sleep specialist. I'm just guessing they will want to do they're own test on me which I would understand due to the fact I was diagnosed in 1996(ish). The appointment isn't until late June so we'll see.?.

I think they should be tested a few years after being diagnosed!

β€˜ SandraMathis, and Joy2 Thank you !
I’m in agreement with you both. Sometimes I don’t understand the physicians and their opinions.
