My boss called me in for a meeting today because i've been consistantly late. I just cannot get up in the morning. No matter how many alarms I set or how many automated things I set up I sleep through it. The only thing that gets me up is the sheer panic when I realize I overslept. Again. It's affecting my job performance and my self-esteem. I have an appointment with my sleep specialist this thursday but I'm not sure there is anything that can be done. I'm already on medication. Are you able to change your hours? Narcolepsy can impact our employment. Fortunately I shared my diagnosis with my supervisors and was able to be gainfully employed.

Vyvanse meds during the day has helped me wake up in the mornings more easily , since they are a time release med releasing for 13 hrs

Ive been able to manage getting up now, (fear is a great motivator) and the alternative is xywav which I do not think is a good fit for me
