I didn't realize there was a shortage. But i have had the brands change lately. I take a 20 and a 30 mg xr and the 20 mg was the first to change, then the 30, and now the 20 has changed again. I haven't noticed an obvious change in comparison though. But, my meds effect me differently so often that it would probably be difficult for me to notice anyway. Like some days i take my meds and feel great and energized for longer. Then I'll take it and won't even be able to stay awake long enough to know if it kicked in. Then the days where i take it, and i literally feel like i didn't and have to keep asking myself if i imagined taking it because it never kicked in even a little. I know that my narcolepsy symptoms vary greatly with my moods and overall mental health too. Like if I'm overly stressed or depressed, the siverity of my narcolepsy symptoms can become extreme to where it's like I've been sedated. And on my good mental health days my meds work better and last longer. Almost like they're stronger strength or more milligrams

Yes, it's ridiculous! But also if you think about it everyone have different effects meaning what works for me may not work for you.

I feel that there are many generics out there that do not provide the same effects as the name brand. Provigil was FAR more effective than modafinal in my case. Appeal after appeal to insurance, however,vand I never found get back on Provigil.

I am on Concerta for adhd, and it does the same thing. It all depends on my mental health.

Omg! Yes! Last month I got mine from Walmart because nowhere in over 109 miles had it and it was like I was taking nothing !
