Has Anyone Been Diagnosed With Borderline Personality And Narcolepsy 2? What Drugs Are You On?
I have found that Ritalin (30mg twice a day) has helped me a lot. I still fall asleep if I sit down in the evening to watch a movie. I'm active and stay on my feet all day long and early evening. I just can't sit for any more than 15 minutes, if that, before I fall out. On other drugs, and I've tried many, I fell asleep while taking a shower. I fell hard and hit my head on the tub wall and bruised my hip, hip bone and leg in an unbelievable way. I do feel that I could take even more Ritalin to help me with sitting and relaxing but I think I'm at the limit my docs will prescribe.
Yep, I fall asleep at the dinner table...with food in my mouth!!! I just cannot sit still - I always fall asleep. If I get upset, I also have a lot of trouble staying awake.
Yes, both for me. Yet, I feel The BPD is unrelated to the narcolepsy. Not on any meds for BPD, or depression. As my metabolism won't break any down. I've tried several meds for the narcolepsy, all give me major headaches ( which I have anyways daily). My quackhead Sleep Dr. Refuses to prescribe me what will work for me, and doesn't cause the headaches. He doesn't believe in prescribing stimulants at all.
That’s interesting. I was originally ordered Ritalin 30mg before breakfast & before lunch. I weaned down to 20 mg but I’m still pretty sleepy. A small dose in the afternoon would make it safer driving home from work. Maybe then I could come home and eat supper without falling asleep into my food
Methylphenidate for 61 yrs.. 5mg. every two hours during the day.
