I Have Sleep Paralysis. Normally After An Episode I Can Go Back To Sleep. Tonight, It's So Bad I'm Afraid To Go To Sleep.
JUDY… I have dealt with it so many times it no longer really bothers me.
We are all different but PLEASE don’t be “afraid” of it.
Mine is more OBE off instantly doing something somewhere else and “time” here and “time” on the other side have nothing in common. 10-30 minutes here can be hours/days on the other side. So I’m always confused (at best) but I’m also unthinkably blessed that I truly never have “bad” experiences… I don’t watch scary movies, or murder crime stuff… I have never liked it so that might have a little to do with it (not sure). And yes I have seen some creepy stuff on the other side but BUT I just treat it like a barking Chihuahua and not like it’s a great white BECAUSE FOR EVERY ACTION THERE IS A REACTION (please think about that next time something frightens you. I pretty much can promise no part of SP will hurt you. WE (in our reactions) make it worse.
I simply don’t fight it… I start breathing deep and go it slow (mostly no other choice). I box breathe 4 seconds in, 4 seconds hold, 4 seconds out, 4 seconds hold, etc… I don’t think the breathing does anything. It’s the counting and concentrating and boom it’s over!
You might try it… Don’t be upset if it doesn’t work? Maybe focus on your favorite song or quote, its sort of a trick to reset your back to “normal” life… Did I really just say “normal”? 😂😂😖
Good luck to you… and please don’t fear it.. YOU GOT THIS!
Fear nothing, it’s the whole problem (it seems).
My heart aches for you. I've only had this unspeakable state couple of times. I can't even contemplate.
Go with it, concentrate on meditating seems the only way. Till you emerge again.
I can no longer stay with you. I can't face what you're enduring
Hello, Judy- When mine first started I thought "Well this is peculiar- now what?" (Must be the scientist in me 😸)
Might help if you watched a boring rerun on tv? That puts me out... (sad attempt at humor there...)
I do wish I could sing a lullaby to melt away any fears & help you sleep, but if I screeched a tune to anyone it would certainly keep them awake. I hope this electronic hug will help- so here's a whole lot of electrons...
