Hi. You are spot on with this feeling of being sleepy all day and also to be controlling life with meds. Meds to stay awake, meds to sleep at night It is very difficult. When everyone is excited when we are taking a trip or go on vacation , I feel as if it I'd rather just stay home because now one needs to be awake and do everything what was supposed to be enjoyed.
I am with you with hating this kind of life but I suppose we have to carry on and begin every day with what we are given. Somedays it just gets too much. Strongs , you are mot alone.

Not to dwell on the negative, but we all truly understand why sleep deprivation is used as a means of torture.

I agree. The meds have side effects but we have to take it to "live".
The Medical Aids in South Africa don't see Narcolepsy as a Permanent Medical Condition.
I suppose they can't replace what our bodies destroy.
