I’m praying the dr will put me back on Provigil. I took it years ago. No idea why I stopped it because it worked wonders for me.
I do all that. I am a care taker so I have to drive my client to get groceries, Dr appts, etc. I have to pull over often and smoke a cigarette and walk around. It usually helps for about 20, maybe 30 min if I’m lucky. It just scares me to death that I could fall asleep while driving her car. Once in a while she might dose off while I’m driving. That’s when I really worry because if I doze off, my boss will never know it until it’s over. This is affecting every single aspect of my life. I have an appt with a new dr July 24 to talk about a new sleep study and what my options are.
Pray to God before I drive and don't get to relax behind the wheel. I make sure my air temperature is set just right not to cold. If I get sleepy I'll pull over and sometimes drink a redbull energy drink
music, windows down, earbuds to talk to my mom, friend, or family member to keep me awake. Lately I have been doing audiobooks as I drive around for just daily stuff, going to work, going to the store, etc. and that really helps. Whenever I have a long-distance drive, I always listen to an audiobook to stay awake and alert. (Just make sure the book is one you know you will like, not something you find boring in general, otherwise it doesn't work.:)
Ok. I hope all goes well for you. I tried medication in 2016,bad side effects so I quit taking meds.
