I was diagnosed this year at age 39. I know I’ve had it since birth because of all the stories people tell of how I was the perfect child who just put myself down for naps whenever I needed it as an infant, child, teen, etc. I am still a bit angry that the HUNDREDS of times I’ve sought help in the past 39 years, because I was too tired for it to be normal, no one even thought for a second it could be narcolepsy. It was always “eat more protein and workout/weight train”🙄
About 30 couldn’t get the right doctor what was wrong
I was diagnosed when I was 28, I’m now 50. I was experiencing light symptoms way younger than that but it wasn’t till I was about 26 that my symptoms became bad and alarming
Age 36
I was 22; however, I was VERY lucky and was diagnosed in a matter of 4-5 months.
