I have type one Narcolepsy with cataplexy
Have you noticed your cataplexy becoming more sensitive after a particularly severe episode?
Yes, this can happen. Stress and poor sleep are known to worsen cataplexy, and a bad episode can create a cycle where you're more vulnerable to additional attacks for some time afterward.

I have the same thing! Sleeping at night is next to impossible for me; I'm very lucky if I get more than 4 hours a night. During the day though, I fall asleep doing almost everything. It's such a challenge. I'm so sorry you're going through this too. I find that when I take scheduled naps during the day, that seems to help, and also I recently started xywav and it helps me get better sleep at night as well. I'm getting ready to start Wakix for during the day so I guess we'll see how that goes ... Have you spoken to your Dr about meds yet?
