Can anyone tell me if Wakix has been effective for them with narcolepsy type 2?

I was diagnosed in November 2025 and am currently at the max dose of Modafinil. I have not gotten to have an appointment with my pulmonologist since being diagnosed, all of the communication has been through nurses over the phone. I have an appointment coming up in February so I am excited to finally get the diagnosis explained to me by my provider. I know my child is not driving age but it has definitely helped him not need the afternoon dose. I will say that stimulants made him extremely irritable and I don’t see that as much with the Wakix. I would ask your doctor about the afternoon dose. I was under the impression it shouldn’t be given after 4.
