Narcolepsy Type 2, I'm an accountant. 2 1/2 months in on Xywav
I struggle with this a lot. For me the switches come out of no where and are so hard to get out of till one day I’m just ok again. and when I started talking to a therapist they said it sounds like bipolar II. Then after (very little and very informal) research I found out that Bipolar tends to be slightly higher in the narcolepsy community. There is even an article on this website about it. I am sorry you go through this. I hope the extra info maybe at least helps you rule something out.
I struggle with this A LOT!! You are definitely not alone. I've been living with narcolepsy type 1 for over 15 years, and I have yet to figure out how to ward off depression and mood swings. I'm also in perimenopause, which, of course, just adds insult to injury. Music therapy helps me, playing positive, upbeat songs when I need a mood boost.
I feel this same way, my mood goes up and down very quickly, ive noticed its usually when i feel overwhelmed or when I am starting to get tired and see so much to do. I get very irritable and have a bad temper , people have told me that I see things in the wrong way and get mad about things that arnt meant that way. Idk im currently struggling with figuring out this myself. ive seen that narcolepy type 1 causes more depression and mood issues due to the low orexin
