Three months in a row I have struggled to get my Nuvigil 200mg (60 count) rx. CVS always has it on backorder, and now my new pharmacy took 5 days to get my meds. I work full time, so I make a lot of mistakes when I am unmedicated.
Anyone with CVS caremark? What is a less stressful way to get your meds on time?
Idk if it's my state... PA only allows 2 days before the rx is out, and no auto refills. I can't keep going through this, and I know I'm not alone. :(
PS - I have taken Ritalin and Venlafaxine for years. Ready for a change!
I have been taking adderal for a good 15 years. The highest does and is not helping. I took adderal originally for adhd. But it doesn’t seem to work anymore. Do you have any suggestions?
Provigil to stay awake during daytime, but doesn't help with concentration and focus.
I currently take Modofinal. Some times it works very well and sometimes I am not sure. When discussing this with my doctor, he asked me if I wanted to try the above (he told me the name but I can't remember it). He thought it might be helpful for me. Only one place that it is filled and sent out from?, that sounds a little scary to me. I have been thinking about it because I am tired of falling asleep all the time. It is embarrassing. I have been tinkering with the timing of the two to… read more
@A MyNarcolepsyTeam Member I feel your pain. Same here. Dexadrine (speed) doesn't work well for me. Could take 40mg and a nap. Just started Vyvanse at it is amazing. In fact I need the Xyrem to… read more
Has anyone else been in this situation? I have been laughed at and treated with the attitude that I am drug seeking. My symptoms showed up in Junior High School. I was almost 50 when I received my first Rx for generic Ritalin
My mother was diagnosed in her early 50’s, after coping most of her life with these issues. Is it any better these days? The diagnosis part!??
Thank you. I am looking forward to finding out more.
PS: My mother had the same situation with the diagnosis w/o… read more
Ritalin helps?
I live in Pembroke Pines, Florida and am looking for a new MD to treat my Narcolepsy. There are lots of them but very few treat sleep disorders. Unfortunately Ritalin and Adderall are not options for me because I have some heart Issues. I tried low doses of both and had to stop because of it.
All info is appreciated. Thanks!
Hey there, I worked at the Univ of Miami School of Med. a long time ago and while I was there, I saw a neurologist specializing in sleep disorders (I have Type 1 Narcolepsy). There are several sleep… read more
I feel very limited with the doctors that are "in network" and within driving distance. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good neurologist that specializes in narcolepsy that does virtual appointments?
I was told that you have to go to California or New York. There is no one near me that is a good doctor. I was diagnosed by a neurologist in NC in 1983 and since then I have just kept renewing my… read more
Does anyone go thru several days of mostly just sleeping?
I put all the details in my answer about hormones and narcolepsy. Because of the combo of N + PMDD, I would sleep about 16 hours each day 2 days, before my cycle started. (Summarized).
My names cary.ive taken nuvigal for years .they have mixed in sunosi &ritilan before. I can't get rid of my sleeping head. Anybody have that problem? Advice?
Change your sleep routine to be the same every night. Get good nutrition, drink plenty of water, & no junk food. Find a good supplement like Dr. Schulze's Superfood, (my fav energy booster.)
Don't judge me. This coming September I will have 4 years clean and sober. Since I was 25 and I have abused methamphetamine. And it didn't really get me high it just allowed me to function and do things that everyone else was doing my age. Has anyone else found that they were literally self-medicating with stimulants?
Lol i still self medicate alkng with the meds so im not judging girl! But sudafed - that shit knocks me right out! I get the initial blast for about 15-20 min and then im out for 12!
