Has Anybody Had Better Results With WAKIX Vs. Combination Of SUNOSI And XYWAV?
A MyNarcolepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am currently taking SUNOSI during the day and tried to switch to WAKIX because of my cataplexy and sleep paralysis. My insurance would not approve WAKIX until I tried XYWAV so I started XYWAV. I find it almost ridiculous that XYWAV is twice nightly dosing! My anxiety is worse and affecting my overall sleep because half the time I can't get that second dose accomplished between 1-2 am.

A MyNarcolepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

The only common recommended medication I have not tried is Wakix. Currently taking high doses of sunosi, nuvigil, and vyvanse daily. Seems like all the regimens work for about 2 weeks then back to feeling like I did prior to diagnosis.

Change your sleep routine to be the same every night. Get good nutrition, drink plenty of water, & no junk food. Find a good supplement like Dr. Schulze's Superfood, (my fav energy booster.)

Nuvigil- Will I For Sure Eventually Need To Add Medications?
A MyNarcolepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have read many stories online of people doing well on Nuvigil for awhile, but then as time goes on having to add a "booster" medication halfway through the day. I want to know if I should expect this, or not. Has anyone been on Nuvigil for a long time with no decrease in effectiveness? Some sources also suggest taking a couple days off the medicine to curb resistance. Has anyone had experience with that?

I have taken Nuvigil & Adderall for around 12+ years now. They both work good still, but it also depends on what I'm doing that day & how active I am. Also it doesn't matter sometimes if I've taken… read more
