I currently take Modofinal. Some times it works very well and sometimes I am not sure. Has anyone changed from xyrem to xywave? What is your experience with either of them? Both have changed the taste, and what foods I eat, has that happened to you?
I Also tried the Wakix not on a clinical trial and it did nothing for me. It was like I was not taking medication at all.
PS - I have taken Ritalin and Venlafaxine for years. Ready for a change!
My doctor is going to start me on Skyrem (Xyrem with less sodium) and I was wondering what people's experiences are with it. Does it work well? Does it cause any negative side effects? Do you still need to take other meds to fight day time sleepiness?
I take Xyrem and it has really helped me get the life I never thought I could have. Just be careful with it and feel free to call the distributors for any questions! They're super nice!

so for the people that take xywav/xyrem, and happen to live in tornado alley, what do you do when the weather is bad overnight, and you have to work the next day? luckily, im off work right now but the way the recent storms are hitting, if i was working, it would be messing up my medicine schedule and im not lucky enough to have bosses that understand. how do these factors impact you?
As for myself xywav/xyrem was not a good idea for me. I had too many side effects.😵💫
I was prescribed provigil 200 mg 2 x day 16 years ago. It worked great for 13 years. About 3 years ago around 2 pm my medication had wore off. So I started taking 3 tablets a day (600) mg. So I had medication for 20 days and suffered the last 10 days because I didn't think my doctor would prescribe 3 a day
Now my problem is provigil tolerance. One day it works and most days it doesn't. Has any one that has taken this for a long period had this to happen to them? Any suggestions on what I need… read more

Looks like a new, timed-release version of Xyrem/Xywav might be available soon that will eliminate having to wake up and take a second dose.
