I will lie down to take a narcolepsy induced nap and my brain doesn’t stop with the thoughts and dialogue, so I think either my brain just immediately transitions in to REM or maybe I just lose track of time? I sincerely have no idea. My brain and thoughts just keep going. Then I will look at the clock a little bit later and an hour will have gone by in what feels like minutes. Is this a thing?
This happens to me often. Those around me will tell me that I slept 45 minutes or so. In my mind, I never went to sleep. I also think that I have been asleep and was still able to actually carry on a short conversation.
I’ve learned from my narcolepsy support group that insomnia is a very common symptom. Narcoleptics do not have the neurotransmitters for BOTH wakefulness and sleep.

yep! Often. Sometimes its enough and its great. Othertimes its worse and it sucks, then other times its just meh
That’s me all the time that’s why I always like. Just listen to something through my headphones when I’m asleep, but I have some on that loud. That’s loud and that’s not in my headphones.
